The Lead: The Emerson women's soccer team was held scoreless as Coast Guard scored a second half goal and defeated the Lions 1-0 on Friday afternoon in New London CT.

First Half
The first half saw a total of 10 shots, with Emerson registering three shots and Coast Guard recording seven. Emerson's Madeline Khaw had a chance with a shot from the right side, but Scharnitzky made a crucial save. Amara Schaub kept the Bears off the scoreboard in the first 45 minutes and the first half ended with the score at 0-0 tie

Second Half:
The second half of the match continued to be a defensive battle, with the only goal of the game coming in the 63rd minute when Karagan Bulger of Coast Guard Academy Bears found the back of the net. The Lions were unable to answer as the Bears locked up a 1-0 victory on Friday afternoon.
