The Lead: Paced by eight kills from sophomore Jack Miessner and 23 assists from sophomore Bayden Slavik, the Emerson men's volleyball team rolled to the three-set sweep over Fisher on Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET ONE
- With the score set at a three-point margin at 6-3, Emerson would take off and tally the next 12 consecutive points to take the lengthy 18-3 lead over Fisher.
- Fisher would break Emerson's 12-point streak on a Lions' error at the line to put the score at 18-4.
- Started off on an attack miscue by Fisher, Emerson would tack on the frame's last seven of nine scores to take the first frame, 25-6.
SET TWO
- Emerson and Fisher started the second frame off competitively with the margin sat at three at 7-4.
- The Purple & White began to distance in-between them and Fisher as they set off on a 14-4 spark to bump their lead into double figures at 21-8.
- A pair of Emerson attack miscues and a swing from Ke'Andre Penceal got Fisher within 10 at 21-11, yet the Lions erased any comeback hopes behind a four-point run to wrap the 25-11 second set win.
SET THREE
- The third set began tightly contested as Fisher turned Emerson's three-point lead into an 8-all tie after serving up an ace.
- An ace from De Los Santos capped off Emerson's 11-3 run that helped the Lions gain their biggest lead of eight at 19-11.
- Fisher could not close in within more than six through the final portion of the third as the Lions sealed the three-set sweep on a 3-0 run, which was rounded out by a swing from senior Jerick Lou.
