The Lead: The Emerson Men's Volleyball team was led by Neiko Pittman who tallied 29 total kills over the two matches against Regis (MA) and Colby-Sawyer on Saturday afternoon at Higgins Court in Weston MA.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Regis scored the first five points of the match and then rattled off another 5-0 scoring run to open a 13-4 advantage in the first set. The Lions struck back with a 7-1 scoring run, led by Luke Roehm with two kills and two total blocks, to pull within three at 14-11, but Regis notched two kills and consecutive service aces to extend the Pride lead back to eight at 21-13. Regis would pull away with the final points to secure a 25-18 set victory in the first set.
- The Pride scored the first four points of the second set, but the Lions battled back, eventually taking a 10-9 lead on a block by Neiko Pittman and Ben Dorsey. Regis quickly responded with a 7-3 scoring run to retake the lead at 16-13 before Emerson scored five of the next six points, capped by consecutive service aces from Roehm. After Regis retook the lead at 21-20, the Lions scored five of the final six points of the second set, punctuated by a kill from Pittman.
- The Lions came out in the third set strong, scoring 10 of the first 11 points and taking a commanding 10-1 lad; led by Pittman with four kills and three block assists. The Lions increased their lead into double figures thanks to four unanswered points later in the set, clinching the third set on a kill by Ben Dorsey and a block from Pittman and Jack Miessner.
- Regis bounced back in the fourth set as the Lions were unable to close out the Pride. Regis won set four by a score of 25-22; pushing the match to a deciding fifth set.
- The Lions took a quick 10-4 advantage in the deciding set, as the Pride could not put together a rally. The Lions would go on to the match by scoring the final three points on a kill by Dorsey, a block by Dorsey and Pittman, and a block by Pittman and Miessner.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions attack was stellar throughout the entire match, tallying 26 kills on 72 attempts while only committing 5 errors.
- Colby-Sawyer tallied 21 kills on 91 attempts while committing 26 errors.
- Led by Neiko Pittman who racked up a game-high 14 kills, the Lions won each set by a score of 25-12.
- Along with Pittman's 14 kills Ramsis De Los Santos racked up 5 kills and Jake Kelley added 4 of his own as the Lions were able to secure two victories on the day.
