HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lasers attack stole the show as they only committed 12 errors on 71 attempts while tallying 35 kills. The Lions attack committed 22 errors on 82 attempts and tallied 26 kills.
- The Lions were paced by Jack Miessner on the attack as he racked up 7 kills and added three blocks. Neiko Pittman also added 6 kills for the Lions attack.
- Theo Zaharawics led the Lasers with a game-high 14 kills, while teammate Jordan Shinaut chipped in 7 kills and was stellar at the net with 5 blocks.
- Emerson lost both of the first two sets by a score of 25-17 even after taking a 1-0 lead in both sets. The Lions could not hold off the attack of Lasell through either set.
- The third set, however saw Emerson battle back and take a late-set lead. The Lions battled to keep the set close through its entirety, trading points with the Lasers.
- The Lions looked to push the match to a fourth set as they took a 16-15 lead on a Laser service error. Unfortunately for the Lions, Lasell strung together three quick points and took a lead they would not relinquish.
- The Lions hung tough as they pulled within one point once again. The score was 20-19 before Lasell scored the remining 5 points to secure a 25-19 victory and 3-0 match victory over the Lions.
UP NEXT
The Lions head to Regis (MA) to take on Regis College and Colby-Sawyer on April 1st in a GNAC tri-match. Emerson is slated to play at 11am and 1pm.
