The Lead: Junior Neiko Pittman paced the Emerson men's volleyball team with 10 kills with the help of 24 assists from sophomore Bryson Beck and 10 digs from freshman Ben Dorsey to propel the Lions to a three-set sweep over Fisher on Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emerson found themselves up 5-0 after a fast start of the first set, but Fisher answered and tallied the next nine of 11 points to gain the slight lead of 9-8.
- Two kills from Pittman followed by one more from Miessner pushed Emerson back up four at 15-11 and maintained the tight lead of 17-16 after Fisher capitalized on three Lions miscues.
- The next three scores came from an error at the line for the Falcons and back-to-back kills from Pittman and Miessner to bump the hosts margin back up to four at 20-16.
- In the closing of the first frame, Emerson held Fisher to three points while the Lions racked up the final five of seven scores to seal the 25-19 win.
- Emerson overpowered Fisher in the second set and hit a commanding .600 and held the Falcons to a -.267 hit percentage to cruise to the 25-6 win.
- The third set, much like the second, had Emerson overwhelming Fisher with 11 kills for a hit percentage of .474 as the Lions rolled to the 25-7 victory and the sweep.
