The Lead: A career-best and game-high 37 points poured in by graduate Jarred Houston propelled the Emerson men's basketball team to roll past MIT, 86-56, for their third consecutive victory on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emerson trailed MIT for nearly 11 and a half minutes of the first half when at 6:20, Martin laid in a layup to push the Lions on top, 18-17, for their first lead of the game.
- After Martin's basket lifted Emerson back in front, Houston followed with a pair of two-handed hammers to extend the visitor's edge to five at 22-17 with 4:55 to go in the half.
- MIT answered with seven points to come within one of reclaiming the lead (29-28) after Spann's trey with 46 ticks on the clock. Emerson missed their final shot attempt of the half before Delgado-Gonzalez connected on both free throws to put the Lions' in a one-point hole at the break. (29-30).
- In the second stanza, Emerson overwhelmed MIT by shooting a commanding 60.5% from the field alongside dropping 50% from the perimeter. The Lions' stronger shooting and strong defensive effort help the Purple & White outscore the Engineers, 57-26.
