BOSTON, Mass. (March 25, 2026) – The Emerson College men's basketball program placed 11 of its student-athletes on the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference Team for their efforts in the classroom the Conference announced.
Postgrad Ashur Gardiner and seniors Jacob Armant and Brendan McNamara headline Emerson's list of 11 Academic All-Conference selections, which is second only to the 12 honorees from MIT, by receiving the recognition for the third-straight year.
Senior Linus Helmhold and juniors Ray Allen III, Guillermo Gasset Ruiz and Caden Zure have all been selected for the second-straight year.
The NEWMAC named a total of 49 men's basketball student-athletes to its Academic All-Conference team. Honorees must have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2025 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
