The Lead: The Emerson Men's Basketball team suffered a comeback defeat on Saturday afternoon in Waterville Maine. McNamara led all scorers with 23 points but the Lions relinquished the lead with just over a minute remaining in regulation as Colby-Sawyer completed a comeback victory.

HOW IT HAPPENEDĀ
- The Lions continued their 2023-24 campaign in Waterville Maine as they took on Colby-Sawyer. Brendan McNamara continued his hot start, leading the Lions with 1t6 of his game-high 23 points in the first half.
- The first half was a back-and-forth battle, with the Lions continuing to have a lead but Colby-Sawyer continuing to threaten throughout the first 20 minutes.
- The final 10 minutes of the half is when Emerson took charge, pushing their lead to 10 points. McNamara and Jacob Armant led the offense for the Lions as they entered halftime with a 38-28 lead.
- The second half was much of the same for the Lions as they continued to hold a sizable lead, leading by as much as 13 with 8 minutes remaining in regulation.
- The final 5 minutes is where Colby-Sawyer surged. The Chargers closed out the final 7:48 of the game on a 15-0 run, as they came from behind to defeat the Lions.
- Colby-Sawyer took the lead with 1:06 remaining in regulation; their first lead since :27 into the first half.
- The Lions head home after going 1-1 at the Colby College Opening weekend tournament.
