The Lead: The Emerson Women's Volleyball team defeated the visiting Clark Cougars in straight sets on Thursday night. Led by 15 kills and 5 blocks from Parker Cummings while Amelia Combs notched 14 kills and Isabella Cubba tallied 6 blocks. The Lions improved to 10-6 overall and 2-4 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
Set 1:
The first set proved to be a tightly contested battle, with Emerson coming from behind to secure the set with a score of 27-25.
 
Set 2:
In the second set, Clark University came back strong, but an early Emerson lead helped the Lions pace the Cougars throughout the set. Emerson clinched the set with a score of 25-22.
 
Set 3:
The third set mirrored the previous set as the Lions jumped out to an early lead and were able to hold off a late set rally by the Cougars and ultimately wrap up a  25-21 set victory; securing a 3-0 victory in the match.
