HOW IT HAPPENED
- The opening set saw neither team get into a consistent rhythm where one side was able to pull away.
- The Lions led by no more than 1 point where Regis saw its largest lead at 17-13.
- Emerson was not able to close that gap as they fell 25-23 in set 1.
- The Lions came out flat in set 2 as Regis was able to jump out to a quick 12-3 lead. The slow start to the 2nd set proved to be too much for the Lions to overcome as they dropped set 2; 25-12
- Emerson did not go quietly as they battled back in set 3. A 4-point streak early in the set, paired with a 5-point streak late in the set allowed the Lions to capture a 25-20 set victory.
- The Lions continued the momentum into the 4th set as 2 early kills by Sophomore Neiko Pittman helped Emerson to a 4-1 advantage.
- Regis battled back to eventually take the lead 11-10 on an Emerson error.
- Two kills by Sophomore Luke Roehm would help recapture the lead for the Lions.
- Emerson would not give up the lead again for the remainder of the set as they pushed the match to a 5th set with a 25-22 victory.
- The 5th set was another back-and-forth battle that ultimately saw Regis squeak out a 19-17 set win; securing a 3-2 match victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions fell behind 6-3 in early in the match; but a kill and an ace by Pittman would help Emerson reclaim an early lead.
- The Lions would again give away the lead, but for the last time in set 1. Emerson would rattle off 8 straight points led by 3 more kills by Pittman, 1 kill from Freshman Ramsis De Los Santos and an ace from Freshman Bayden Slavik; giving the Lions a 24-15 advantage.
- An attack error by Colby-Sawyer would secure the set victory for Emerson; 25-16.
- The 2nd set was another tightly contested battle; highlighted by a 5-point streak by the Lions.
- Three more kills from Pittman and two errors from Colby-Sawyer helped propel the Lions to a 25-18 victory and a 2-0 lead in the match.
- Errors by Colby-Sawyer and a kill from Senior Rory Dobbins pushed Emerson to an early 6-2 lead.
- Four points would be the largest lead either side would see for the remainder of the match.
- The Lions held a late lead, but struggled to put the Chargers away.
- Ultimately, two attack errors by Colby-Sawyer would push Emerson to complete the 3-0 sweep with a 27-25 victory.
