HOW IT HAPPENED
39"- The Lions struck first with just under six minutes remaining in the first half. Freshman Chris Moulinos found the back of the net for his third goal of the season.
51"- The Lions extended their lead six minutes into the second half when Freshman Gabe Rich found Sophomore Gregory Kopanezos who beat the goalkeeper for his third goal of the season. This gave Emerson a 2-0 lead with about 40 minutes remining in regulation.
59"- Emerson was able to extend their lead once more when MIT scored an own goal. With this mishap by the Engineers, Emerson held a comfortable 3-0 lead.
85"-MIT was finally able to answer late in regulation when Junior Aidan Hallinan found the back of the net by way of a rebound after a shot by Senior Alex Weiler hit the post. With under five minutes remaining, the Lions held a 3-1 lead that they would not relinquish.
