The Lead: A second-half goal within the 62nd minute from junior Thomas Chuaqui allowed the Emerson men's soccer team to level the score as the Lions took the 1-1 draw with Wheaton (Mass.) on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

26": Off a crossed pass into the box, Fitzsimmons made the initial diving save only for the ball to ricochet off his hands and back into the crowded box. Ferrier got his foot on the ball and gave Wheaton the 1-0 lead as the goal went to the Lions' defender's left into the bottom left. 

-At the break, Wheaton outshot Emerson, 6-3. 

62": After Emerson entered the second half still down 1-0, momentum swung their direction and got themselves back in the game with the 1-1 equalizer in the 62nd minute. Surrounded by Lyons' defenders, Deeming passed the ball up to Chuaqui, who was making his way towards the goal. Chuaqui collected the pass and beat Millington on his left as the ball landed in the bottom left side. 

-With mere seconds left in regulation, Emerson nearly tallied the game winner as senior Bo Feekins headed the ball within the right post, but the goal was called off with the Lions being offsides and the score held at the 1-1 draw.

• Emerson continues their home stand on Tuesday night with an out-of-conference matchup with Westfield State at 6 p.m.
