HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emerson was outshot 18-3 on the afternoon as they could not generate many scoring opportunities. With two goals in each half from four different players, WPI was able to secure the 4-0 victory.
20": WPI was able to get on the board first as Francesco Valagussa's crossing pass was tapped into the net by Franco Bazzini giving WPI a 1-0 lead halfway through the 1st half.
36": WPI added their second goal of the half when Fracesco Valagussa headed the ball into the back of the net on a crossing pass from Matthew McLellan extending the lead to 2-0.
68": Halfway through the 2nd half, WPI added to their lead when Filippo Marcantoni found the back of the net after a pass from Franco Bazzini extending the lead to 3-0.
76": Walter Rodriguez tacked on WPI's fourth and final goal of the day when he beat Emerson's keeper off a pass from Alejandro Clermont bringing the score to 4-0.
