The Lead: Ten combined kills from Parker Gray (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Samuel Willinger (Golden Beach, Fla.) were not enough for Emerson Men's Volleyball Team as they fell to Lasell 3-0 on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions and Lasers split the first four points, but Lasell took a seven point lead after a 10-3 run to force Emerson into their first timeout at 12-5. Emerson scored three of the next four behind attack errors from Lasell. The Lasers opened up an 11 point lead at 20-9, but the Lions cut it back to ten on a Gray kill at 20-10. Emerson was unable to overcome the deficit, falling 25-12 in the first set.
- The second set saw Emerson fall behind early again at 10-4, forcing the Lions into a timeout. The Lions scored four of the next five behind kills from Josh Elliot and Gray, slashing the lead to three at 11-8. Lasell rattled off nine of the next 11 points to take a 20-10 lead, and closed out the Lions in the second set 25-11.
- Lasell jumped out to an early lead at 6-1 and extended their lead to 11-4 after 15 points. Emerson cut the lead to six at 12-6, but the Lasers finished the set on a 13-1 run, defeating the Lions 25-7 in the third and final set and 3-0 in the match.

- Emerson is off for the next two weeks before they play a conference trio-match against Colby Sawyer and Regis at Colby Sawyer on March 14th, with their first match coming at 1:00pm.
