BOSTON, Mass. - Off the brink of a 2020 opening 87-81 overtime victory over No. 17 Nichols this past Thursday, the Emerson men's basketball team carry momentum entering NEWMAC competition starting on Wednesday afternoon when the Lions host Coast Guard at 2:00 p.m.. On Saturday, the Purple trek to Worcester for its first road NEWMAC tilt at Clark at 1:00 p.m.
A LOOK BACK
- Emerson turned the page to 2020 in stunning fashion this past Thursday night as the Lions picked up an 87-81 overtime victory over No. 17 Nichols, which marked the third time the Purple have topped a ranked opponent
- The sophomores led the way in the win with Zach Waterhouse (Hampton, N.H.) pacing Emerson with a season high 25 points followed by a season best 21 points and 16 rebounds from Jarred Houston (Norwood, Mass.) and saw Nate Martin (Washington D.C.) round out the pack with 20 points
