HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first set, Connecticut College took an early lead, of 3-0 and held the three-point lead at 8-5. Emerson came right back, scoring five straight points and 11 of 14 to take a commanding 16-11 lead behind the serve of Lauren Quan. Emerson continued to build on their lead, winning the set 25-16 on an attack error by the Camels.
- The Lions took the momentum from the first set and contained it in the second, winning the first six points and 12 of 16 to take an early 12-4 lead. After a timeout by the Camels, the Lions contained to control the match through multiple kills form Albany Alexander (Orlando, Fla.). Emerson finished out the second set 25-13 on a kill by Alexander to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
- The Lions continued the good starts into the third set, going up 12-1 early on a Rebecca Polsky kill. The Lions controlled the rest of the set, closing out on an Alexander kill once again, taking the match 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set started off close, with the Lions and warriors knotted at five after 10 points. The Warriors pulled away quickly after that, taking a 15-8 lead. Emerson was unable to mount a comeback in set one falling on an attack error 25-15.
- The Lions rebounded quickly, winning seven of the first eight points in set two. The Warriors did come back and cut the lead to tow twice at 7-5 and 12-10. Both times, the Lions rebounded and extended their lead again. Emerson was able to build on their second lead and take a commanding 24-17 lead before an Alexander kill gave the Lions the victory in the second set 25-19.
- Emerson started strong in the third set, taking a 9-5 lead early. They built on their lead through the serves of Vaimoso and Anna Phillips, scoring on nine straight points with the two serving and taking a 20-9 lead. The Lions closed out the set comfortably, winning 25-16 and taking a 2-1 lead in the match.
- The third set was much closer, with the teams knotted at 6-6 and 12-12. The Lions pulled away after being tied 12-12, taking seven of the next nine points and taking a 19-14 lead. Emerson closed out the set 25-19, winning the match 3-1.
