  • Emerson climbed out of a seven-point hole and pieced together a 13-9 spurt over the next six minutes and claimed its first lead at 21-20 on a layup by Waterhouse.
  • The Lions trailed for the remainder of the first stanza and entered the locker room down eight at 44-36.
  • It took five minutes of the second half for Emerson to regain control and stay in front for good when an O'Connor jumper gave the visitors a tight 54-53 cushion.
  • At the 8:46 mark, Emerson held a lead as big as 10 before the hosts narrowed the deficit down to two with 1:40 on the clock thanks to a try by Riddick (75-73).
  • Waterhouse's jumper moved the score to 77-73 on the Lions' next possession before Flaherty tallied a basket with 24 seconds left to once again make it a single possession game at 77-75.
  • Sophomore Trevor McLean (Boston, Mass.) took a trip to the foul line after the Saints were forced to foul and knocked down both freebies to lift Emerson to a four-point edge (79-75).
  • Turnovers by both sides and a missed three-point attempt by Emmanuel helped seal the 79-75 victory for the Lions.
