BOSTON, Mass. - We have officially flipped the calendar to a new year for Emerson men's basketball, who enter the 2019-20 season as the defending NEWMAC champions. The Lions kicked off its home 2019 campaign with a commanding 99-69 win over Worcester State Saturday night. Tuesday has the Lions out at Gordon at 7:00 p.m. before they wrap the week at home hosting Tufts at 1:00 p.m.

- It was quite an opening night on Saturday for the men's team as they picked up an impressive 99-69 home victory over Worcester State
- In the win, sophomore Nate Martin (Washington D.C.) outscored everyone with an overall 20 points followed by three more double figures showings from sophomore Trevor McLean (14), 13 points from senior Jack O'Connor and sophomore Jarred Houston and freshman James Beckwith rounding out the leaders with 12
