Men's Volleyball Ends Season in GNAC Playoffs

NASHUA. N.H. - Emerson Men's Volleyball traveled to Rivier University this evening for a GNAC post season contest at the Muldoon Gymnasium. The Quarterfinal matchup pitted the third seeded Raiders against the sixth seeded Lions. The Raiders, now 21-10 overall, took the match by scores of 25-19, 25-23 and 25-16. The Lions end their season at 9-16 overall and 5-9 in the GNAC.
 
Emerson's Mark Piorkowski was the team leader with 10 kills and Jackson Wiley added eight kills in the season ending loss. Brendan McGonigle had 29 assists and Jared Gross totaled a game high of eight digs. Win Kittivatcharapong rounded out the offense with seven kills, while Stig Regan added four kills of his own and two block assists.

Rivier's offensive attack was paced by sophomore Grant Andler who landed 14 kills. Ian Wolski collected 11 kills of his own and three total blocks while freshman Khaynen Yocca added eight kills. Junior Tyler Blank dished out 39 assists and sophomore Matt Heckler came up big defensively with six total blocks.

Emerson Athletics would like to congratulate Men's Volleyball on a succesful season and wish our graduating seniors the best as they move on to bigger and better things.
