Emerson College is proud to have student athletes who represent the school through their hard work both on the diamond and in the classroom. We would like to call attention to those members of the Softball team who today, for the final time, are representing the Lions at Rotch Field. Emerson is privileged to have three seniors finishing their home playing careers today. Each has contributed to the history and tradition of the Lions during their time at Emerson, and we would like to honor their hard work and dedication.

A pitcher from Londonderry, NH, #17 Sam Corey has appeared in over 45 games in the circle over the past two seasons entering this afternoon.   Sam has over 130 strikeouts and this year leads Emerson with 6 wins.  She has pitched 200 innings since transferring from Philadelphia University and has 15 complete games.  A fashion design major from Mass Art, Sam will continue to pursue her fashion goals working for Express in NYC this summer.

An outfielder from Riverside, Rhode Island, #4 Amanda Horton has appeared in 131 games heading into this afternoon.    She has a career batting average of .285 and has 44 career stolen bases.  Yesterday in one of her final home doubleheaders, Amanda helped lead the Lions to a sweep of conference opponent Coast Guard  by going 4-7 in the leadoff spot.

Amanda is a Marketing major here at Emerson and will graduate this May.

A second baseman from Port Jefferson, NY, two year captain Courtney Fee has appeared in 115 games and over 250 plate appearances.    Courtney has been the heart and soul of a young Lions team that has battled their way into a new chapter of Emerson Athletics.  A three year member of  both the NFCA and NEWMAC All-Academic teams Courtney has been a fantastic teammate and leader both on and off the field.  She is the true definition of a team player .  Courtney is a WLP major and will graduate this May.
