HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Brown gained early control in the opening half as the Bears took a 14-3 lead at the 15:17 mark after a jumper from Anderson.
  • A shot from Sheng put the Lions within 11 (29-18) with 8:11 left in the half, but the Bears offense continued to pressure the Lions within the paint and ballooned their lead.
  • Brown went on an 11-7 run to conclude the half with the lengthy 40-25 lead that was capped off by a shot from downtown by JR Hobbie.
  • In the first two minutes of the second half, the Bears canned two shots from beyond the arc from Okolie and Anderson, along with a pair of trips to the charity stripe to up their lead to 51-32.
  • Back-to-back treys from Anderson gave the Bears a 26-point cushion at 64-38 with 12:53 left to play in the half.
  • Ellertson drained two free throws within the last 1:32 of regulation to put the score at 88-58, but Kyle Harber put the finishing touches on a 12-3 Brown run as his trey sealed the 90-58 win.
