BOSTON, MA - It was an absolutely gorgeous and sunny day at Rotch Field for Emerson Softballs last home game of the season. The team also recognized their loan senior Annie Jenkins, who will be graduating this year with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

With the wins the Lions are now 10-14 overall and 2-10 in the NEWMAC.

The Lions swept the Smith College Pioneers in two intense games, 7-3 and 5-4. In game one the Lions were down 2-0 going into the bottom on the 6th. But the team took control and scored 7 runs. Smith's Brittney Blokker hit a homerun in the top of the 7th, but thats all they were able to muster before Emerson closed out the inning.
