The Emerson Men's Volleyball team improved their record to 6-4 today with their 3-0 win over Regis.
Emerson and Regis remained close in the first set with an ending score of 25-22. Emerson led with 17 kills over the 11 by Regis. Regis remained competitive with only 1 error in comparison with Emerson's 6 errors.
The gap grew in the second set. Emerson began to pull away during the set by gaining 10 points in the time Regis gained 2, bringing the score up 18-11. Emerson continued to widen the gap bringing the final score of the set to 25-13.
Regis came back in the third set with the closest score of the match, 25-23. The set started off with a five point lead for Regis, which was ended by a kill executed by Emerson senior, Connor Burton. Burton went on to have 8 kills in the match, the second highest for the Lions.
Emerson junior, Jackson Wiley, led in kills having a total of 21 throughout the match, 12 more than anyone else.
The Lion's next matchup is against Regis at Home, on February 19, at 6:00pm.
