BOSTON, Mass. – Eric Doherty's 12 kills on the night led the way as the Emerson Men's Volleyball Team won their third 3-0 sweep of the season as they toppled the Lesley Lynx in fashion Monday night 25-16, 25-20 and 25-19. The win pushes the Lions to 6-6 on the year while the Lynx drop to 1-9.

In the first set the Lions came out ready to rumble as Nadav Swarttz floored four kills to swing .500 in the set as Stephen Selnick put up eight assists as the Lions swung .206 in the set while holding the Lynx to only seven kills en route to a 25-16 win.

Set two saw a little more life in the Lynx as they put up 10 tie scores and four lead changes before EC got serious as Eric Doherty swung .444 with four kills to drop the hammer on the Lynx and take a 25-20 win.

Three was the magic number on the night as well with Doherty stepping up again for five kills in the final set while the Lynx struggled with the Lion defense, only hitting .074 in the set. Stephen Selnick quarterbacked the Lions with 11 dimes in the set as EC rolled to a 25-19 final.

The Lions fire up for some GNAC action this Thursday as they set to travel to Albertus Magnus for a 7 p.m. match.
