Jacob DiTore makes his return to the Bobbi Brown & Steven Plofker Gymnasium as he begins his first season as an Assistant Coach.
 
Jacob graduated cum laude from Emerson College in 2019 obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communication with minors in both Sports Communication and Postcolonial Global Studies. While attending Emerson, Jacob was involved in various different organizations and programs. He was a four-year member of the Men’s Volleyball team, leading the team as a captain 2018-2019. At this time he was the also President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, a member of the Orientation’s Core Staff, and Secretary of Zeta Phi Eta. During DiTore’s senior year, he was acknowledged for his leadership and drive both on and off the court. He was inducted into Emerson’s Purple Key Society in March and one month later was awarded as Emerson Athletic’s Student-Athlete Leader of the Year.
 
On the court: DiTore’s collegiate career began in 2016 against MIT where he recorded his first dig. He finished with 431 career digs, averaging 2.38 d/s his senior season as a libero. His career high (20 digs) came in his final regular-season game against Colby Sawyer which resulted in a W and playoff birth.
 
Prior to returning to his former team, DiTore spent one season at Bishop Guertin High School in Nashua, N.H. heading the Freshman Girl’s Volleyball program while assisting both JV and Varsity teams. In addition, he coached volleyball at various different summer camps throughout N.H. Jacob made his original return to Emerson in October of 2019 when he was hired to join Institutional Advancements’ Alumni Engagement team. He still remains a full-time staff member in addition to his coaching position.
