Coach Carrillo is entering his third season as Pitching Coach for the Lions. He helped guide the 2023 pitching staff to program bests in wins, ERA and strikeout to walk ratio. 
Carrillo graduated from UMASS Dartmouth with a MBA in spring of 2021. He finished undergrad with Bachelor’s in Marketing with a minor in Management in spring of 2019. 
As a player, Carrillo played four seasons at UMASS Dartmouth.  He was a captain of the Corsair’s Baseball team for the 2020  and 2021 seasons. Over his career he had a 3.77 ERA in 54 appearances out of the bullpen. He transferred to UMASS Dartmouth from Southern New Hampshire University after a redshirt year in 2016. He missed the 2019 season rehabbing from Tommy John Surgery. 
Carrillo spent the summer of 2016 playing for the Keene Swamp Bats in the NECBL. He also played in the Futures League for the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks and the North Shore Navigators in 2017. 
Carrillo was an assistant coach for the Community College of Rhode Island in 2019. He managed the pitching staff. They went on to the NJCAA Division 3 World Series in Tusculum, Tennessee and finished 5th in the nation for the final national rankings. 
He also coached and ran instructional camps and lessons for NEB Coastal out of Dartmouth, MA and The Bay State Buccaneers out of Weymouth, As well as spending the last three years as a coordinator for the Showcase League.
Carrillo lives in Melrose MA where he also works in the Recreation Department.
