Coach Butterfield is entering his third season as an outfield and first base coach for the Lions. Butterfield graduated from Washington College (MD) in the spring of 2022 with a degree in Business Management and Economics, and received his Masters in Accounting from Bentley in May 2023. 
 
As a four-year member of the Shoremen baseball program, Henry had a career batting average of .273 while playing in the middle infield. In addition to being a three-time member of the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, in his senior season, Butterfield served as co-captain of the team and helped lead Washington College to its first trip in a decade to the Centennial Conference playoffs.
 
After playing for the Malden Maddogs of the Intercity League during his collegiate summers, Coach Butterfield became the team's General Manager and Head Coach in 2022. In the team's first campaign with Butterfield at the helm, the Maddogs doubled their win total from the previous season. In his second, the Maddogs made their first ICL playoff appearance. 
 
Butterfield attended high school at the St. Mark’s School in Southborough, MA where he served as captain of the baseball and cross country teams. Additionally, Coach Butterfield spent eight years growing up in Japan and Singapore.

Butterfield, who also works in Finance at Emerson, resides in Boston with his fiance Keelie, their dog Dodger, and cat Jane.
