Women's Tennis Celebrates Senior Day with Win Over Lesley, 7-0

Beverly and Jones are Lions double winners on Senior Day

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (April 19, 2026) – Emerson College celebrated Senior Day with a 7-0 victory over Lesley University in a non-conference women's tennis match at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols School this afternoon.

Prior to the match, Emerson took the time to recognize its two seniors, Jayden Beverly and Carlson Jones and families for all they have done for the program over the course of their Lions careers.

Highlights

  • Beverly and Jones were both double winners in their Senior Day match, along with junior Gianna Di-Reumante.
  • Junior Amaya Briones, sophomore Alisa Pimenova and first year Teah Login all earned points with wins in singles play for the Lions.
  • Senior Jessica Legendre and junior Mary Osucha posted a win at No. 1 doubles for Lesley.

How It Happened

  • Jones and Di-Reumante, along with Beverly and junior Kendi Bispham combined to clinch the doubles point for Emerson without a dropped game for either in their wins at No. 3 and No. 2 doubles, respectively.
  • Di-Reumante at No. 6 singles and Pimenova at No. 3 singles earned the first two singles points for Emerson without dropping a game in their straight sets wins.
  • Beverly provided the match clinching point for the Lions with her 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles against Lesley first year Emily Laperriere.
  • Jones joined Beverly as a Senior Day double winner with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles against junior Tali-Anna Sutherland.

Emerson (6-10, 1-6 NEWMAC) returns to action on Wednesday when it visits Simmons University for a non-conference match in Brighton at 4 p.m. Lesley wraps up its spring season with a 7-9 record overall, including 4-2 in the North Atlantic Conference.
