Men's Tennis Sweeps UMass Boston on Senior Day

Mesaros a double winner on Senior Day for Lions

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (April 12, 2026) – Emerson College celebrated Senior Day with a 7-0 victory over the University of Massachusetts Boston at Buckingham, Browne and Nichols School today.

  • Emerson swept the three doubles matches to earn the first point of the match. Leeves-Coben and first year Adam Alireza provided the point clinching win for the Lions with their 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles after Finestone and Mensaros finished a 6-1 win at No. 2.
  • Nocchi followed up his victory by a break at No. 1 doubles with Leung with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles against UMass Boston freshman William Kubinec earning the Lions first singles point.
  • Leung drew Emerson within a point of the match victory with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles over freshman Thomas Ameral.
  • Finestone provided the match clinching win for Emerson with his 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles against freshman Sam Tavassoli Hojati.
  • Mesaros wrapped up his Senior Day double with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles against freshman Shaoyuan Song.
