ORANGE, Calif. (March 11, 2026) – Chapman University scored the first five goals in the opening four minutes on its way to an 8-1 lead after a quarter of play and didn't look back in posting a 24-5 victory over Emerson College in a non-conference women's lacrosse matchup at Wilson Field this evening.
Chapman saw nine different players net multiple goals with senior Ada Carr posting six points with two goals and four assists, while freshman Hailey Manzo added five points with a goal and four assists. Juniors Georgia Geagan and Zoey Stephens each scored a team-high three goals for the Panthers.
Junior Ava DelliCompagni had a role in all five goals for Emerson with four goals and an assist. Senior Holland Rutter scored the Lions remaining goal, while classmate Ellie Spotts finished with eight saves, two caused turnovers and three ground balls in the Lions goal.
Stephens scored twice and junior Ava Regan had a goal and assist, setting up Chapman's opening goal by junior Tade Scheid 25-seconds into the game and then adding a goal of her own to cap the opening five goal surge in the first 3:08 of the game.
DelliCompagni put Emerson on the board with 10:35 to play in the first quarter, but Chapman would build an 8-1 lead after a quarter of play. Carr finished the frame with a goal and three assists, including assists on the final two goals of the quarter for the Panthers who would go on to claim their third straight win.
