DelliCompagni earns NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career after an 11 point outing against Simmons.

BOSTON, Mass. (February 23, 2026) – Emerson College junior attack Ava DelliCompagni has earned Offensive Player of the Week honors from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), presented by SKYBOKX 109 Bar & Grill in Natick, Massachusetts, for women's lacrosse the Conference announced today.

DelliCompagni earns the weekly honor from the NEWMAC for the first time in her career after she had a hand in 11 of Emerson's 14 goals in Tuesday's season-opening 14-13 win over Simmons College. She filled the stat sheet in the Lions lone game of the week with five goals and six assists for her 11 points, adding six draw controls, four ground balls, and two caused turnovers. She assisted on the game winning goal from sophomore Laura Lovell  with ten seconds to play after netting the equalizer two minutes earlier.

DelliCompagni's totals from Tuesday's win are good enough to lead the NEWMAC in points and assists, while ranking second in goals scored and ground balls, third in draw controls and sixth for caused turnovers. She ranks 14th nationally in NCAA Division III for assists and 31st in scoring, leading Division III in points and assists per game and ranking 19th in goals per game.

DelliCompagni has played 32 career games at Emerson and totaled 70 goals and 59 assists for 129 points. She has also posted 85 ground balls, 38 caused turnovers and 163 draw controls. She has been named to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference team and earned Academic All-District® honors from College Sports Communicators for her efforts on the field and in the classroom.

Emerson (1-0, 0-0 NEWMAC) is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday when it visits Gordon College for a non-conference matchup at 6 p.m. The Lions next scheduled home game is on Saturday when they are slated to host Curry College in non-conference play at Rotch Field at 1 p.m.
