BOSTON, Mass. (February 14, 2026) – Emerson College limited Mount Holyoke College to 25-percent shooting and cruised to an 88-47 victory over Mount Holyoke College in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's basketball matchup on Senior Day on Hank Smith Court at Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gymnasium this afternoon.
Senior Bri Frongillo celebrated Senior Day with a game-high 31 points on 10-of-16 shooting, converting all nine free-throws, with a season-high matching seven rebounds, four assists and a season-best four steals and a blocked shot. Junior Elise Arnold posted her first career double-double with a season-best 14 points and career-high 14 rebounds, hitting 6-of-8 shots from the floor, while classmate Kaylin O'Meara contributed 12 points, nine boards and a season-high matching five assists. Emerson scored the first five points of the contest, including a three-pointer from senior Sofia Canter two and half minutes in, but Mount Holyoke followed with back-to-back three-pointers from junior Hannah Goen and first year Erica Yokota to grab the lead just 30-seconds later.
Frongillo started to take over for Emerson, scoring nine of the Lions 16 first quarter points, to take a four-point lead (16-12) into the second quarter. The Lions stretched the lead to eight (20-12) after an O'Meara layup 32-seconds into the second and then pushed their advantage into double figures (31-14) during an 11-0 run, keyed by a pair of threes by sophomore Jessie Silk.
Emerson's lead grew to 20 (36-16) after a three-point play from Frongillo with 1:54 to go before the half capped an overall 20-4 run. The Lions settled for a 14-point (36-22) halftime lead after Mount Holyoke scored the final six points of the half but restored their 20-point lead (44-24) after an Arnold layup two minutes into the third quarter.
Emerson closed the third quarter with a 15-3 run, led by seven points from Frongillo, to carry a 32-point lead (68-36) into the final frame and Mount Holyoke would not get back within 30 points the rest of the way.
