FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (October 6, 2026) – Emerson College, ranked No. 8 in this week's United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Region II poll, scored twice in the second half to secure a 2-0 victory over Framingham State University in a non-conference men's soccer matchup at Maple Street Field tonight.
Junior Vigo Cassidy and sophomore Carlo Carson each netted second half goals to lead Emerson to the win and run its unbeaten streak to five matches (4-0-1). First year Lasse Bartsch-Erforth registered a season-high eight saves in preserving his third shutout of the season.
Sophomore Colin Holt kept Framingham within reach with 12 saves in the Rams goal.
Emerson, playing its fourth game within an eight-day span, got on the scoreboard in the 63rd minute with Cassidy netting his second goal of the season – both within the last week – off a feed from first year Daniel Santiago for his first collegiate assist. Carson added an insurance marker with just 2:43 remaining in the match, scoring his fifth goal of the season to match the team lead.
