BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College men's volleyball team absorbed a 3-2 loss to American International Tuesday evening at the Bobbi Brown & Steven Plofker Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson eked out a 25-23 win in the first set to seize a 1-0 lead.
- American International battled back to capture the second frame 25-21 to level the match at 1-1.
- The Yellow Jackets rolled to a 25-14 decision in the third to snag a 2-1 edge.
- The Lions rallied to claim the fourth set to knot the contest at 2-2.
- In the decisive fifth frame, American International edged Emerson 16-14 to clinch the 3-2 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Theo Hackett (Portland, Maine) posted a team-high 14 kills to go with nine digs.
- Chase Fagen (Rye, N.Y.) notched 16 digs and 12 kills on the night.
- Bryson Beck (Fresno, Calif.) finished with 40 assists, four kills, and four blocks.
- Liam Higgins (Redwood City, Calif.) and Cash Muse (Montauk, N.Y.) both added seven kills.
