Seniors Linus Helmhold and Jacob Armant combined for 41 points to power Emerson to the bounce back win. Helmhold made 7-of-8 shots from the floor, including both three-point attempts, converting 10-of-14 free-throws for a career-high 26 points, including 19 in the second half, to go with nine rebounds. Armant scored 11 of his 15 points in the first half, with three assists, while junior Guillermo Gasset Ruiz chipped in eight second half points, four boards, two assists and two steals.

Freshman Marquis White led four from Suffolk in double figures with 15 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Junior Nick Verdile added 13 points, four assists and two rebounds, while classmates Harrison Neil and Greg Keane totaled ten points apiece. Neil also contributed seven rebounds for the Rams off the bench, while Keane chipped in five boards.

Emerson's two five point leads over the opening ten minutes marked the largest lead for either team in the first half. The Lions carried a four-point lead into the half (25-21), led by Armant's 11 points.

Emerson stretched its lead to six (33-27) with a three-point play from Helmhold three minutes into the second half, but back-to-back three-pointers from White capped nine-straight points by Suffolk to put the Rams up three (36-33) after five minutes. Neil buried a triple for a four-point Suffolk lead (41-37) with 12:20 remaining and Verdile added a three for a five-point cushion (46-41) with eight minutes to go.

Emerson responded with an 11-0 run to reclaim the lead for good as Helmhold converted a three-point play to push the Lions back in front before Gasset Ruiz  scored four-straight points to cap the run and put the visitors up six (52-46) with five minutes to go.

Suffolk cut the lead to a possession (58-56) with a White layup with 2:41 on the clock, but Emerson closed the game out from there, reclaiming a six point margin (62-56) with two Helmhold free-throws with 1:22 on the clock, holding the Rams to just one last second field goal after the White layup to seal the win.
