Emerson Names Kelsey Neville Assistant Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach

BOSTON, Mass.- Emerson College head tennis coach Burke Paxton has added Kelsey Neville as an assistant coach with the men's tennis and women's tennis programs.

"I am thrilled to have Kelsey join our coaching staff. Her enthusiasm, experience, and impressive playing career made her stand out throughout the interview process. I think she is going to be a great fit as we continue to build the men's and women's tennis programs and look to make history," commented Paxton.

Neville graduated from Drake University in 2022 with a B.S. in Computer Science where she played Division I tennis all four years for the Bulldogs, competing in the Missouri Valley Conference. As a freshman, Neville and her doubles partner secured a Missouri Valley Conference Doubles title. During her time at Drake, the team won back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference championships. In 2021, the Bulldogs clinched their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2000.

Originally from Antioch, Illinois, she played four years of varsity tennis in high school and led her team to consecutive sectional championships. She was ranked in the top-25 in the state of Illinois. Neville was a four-time state qualifier, finishing in fourth-place as a junior and sixth-place as a senior, earning first team all-state honors her final two seasons.

The Emerson men's tennis team resumes the 2024-25 campaign February 15 against Roger Williams while the women's tennis squad battles Bard March 2 in the first match of the spring slate.
