HOW IT HAPPENED  

• Penn State-Altoona struck first in the top of the first inning with a C Feathers RBI single to give Penn State-Altoona an early 1-0 lead. 

• The offenses stayed quiet until the 3rd inning when both sides scored 2 runs each. Grace Beaulieu and Claire Overton were responsible for the Lions runs, but Penn State still held a 1-run lead after three innings. 

• Penn State scored another run in the 5th inning before the Lions took their first lead in the bottom of the 6th, scoring 3 runs and taking a 1-run lead. This lead was short lived as Penn State pushed across four runs in the top of the 7th and J Nau was able to slam the door on Emerson's offense in the bottom of the 7th to secure an 8-5 victory.
