The Lead: The Emerson Baseball team rallied in the late innings but their comeback came up shirt in a slugfest against Curry College on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• This offensive duel saw Curry score in 6 of the 9 frames, including back-to-back 5-run innings in the 5^th and 6^th. The Colonels had three players drive in 3 RBI each, including a 2-run blast from T Marshall in the top of the 4^th inning, which gave Curry an 8-2 lead.
• The Lions chipped away at the Colonels lead in the bottom of the 4^th inning, with Robby Posio, Anthony Santosuoso, and Nicholas Favazzo all driving in runs.
• Curry quickly responded in the top of the 5^th inning, scoring 5 runs and jumping ahead 13-5.
• The Lions continued to battle back at the game wore on, including a 2-run bomb from Blake Benway, but their late inning rally came up short as Curry came away with a 14-11 victory on Friday evening.
