HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Bri Frongillo capped off her fantastic 2023-24 season with 28 points, dishing out 8 assists and pulling down 6 rebounds for the Lions while Ella Bushee chipped in 14 points and grabbed 7 boards and Olivia Deslauriers scored 12 points for the Lions.
- Angela Czeremcha led the Pride with 18 points and 16 rebounds while Jaelen Dubon matched her with an 18-point performance.
- The Lions had their hands full on Saturday afternoon as they played host to the NEWMAC #1 seeded Springfield Pride. The Lions battled hard throughout the game, but were never truly able to get within striking distance of the Pride.
- Springfield saw their largest lead come with :6 remining in the 3rd quarter, but the Lions battled all the way back to get within two points when Deslauriers hit a 3-pointer to make the game 70-68 in favor if the Pride.
- With under a minute remaining, the Lions were unable to get the defensive stop they needed in the final seconds as Springfield closed out the game by a final score of 73-71.
- The Lions close out the 2023-24 season with an overall record of 13-12 and NEWMAC record of 4-7.
