The Lead: The Emerson Men's Lacrosse team opened the 2024 campaign as they played host to Skidmore on Thursday evening at Rotch Field. The Lions were led by Birk Swan who netted 4 goals and added two assists while Jack Burns netted 3 goals and Aedan Kiniry and Grady Behrhorst both found the back of the net one time each.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

•  The Lions were led by Birk Swan who netted 4 goals and added two assists while Jack Burns netted 3 goals and Aedan Kiniry and Grady Behrorst both found the back of the net one time each.
• Skidmore was led by Brian Gonsalvas who netted a game-high 5 goals. Charlie McFadden and Charlie Kessler both found the back of the net 2 times apiece.
• Both sides battled throughout the first 30 minutes of action as the Lions held a 6-4 lead as the teams headed for the locker room.
• Skidmore made some halftime adjustments as they held the Lions scoreless the 3^rd quarter and netted 5 goals, giving themselves a 9-6 advantage heading into the final frame.
• Both sides netted three goals in the final 15 minutes, but the lead Skidmore had built in the 3^rd quarter proved to be enough to keep the Lions at bay and escape with a narrow 12-9 victory on Thursday evening.
