BOSTON, Mass.- The sixth-seeded Emerson College women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to No. 7 seed Worcester Polytechnic Institute Thursday evening at Rotch Field in the NEWMAC Tournament semifinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- WPI netted the match's lone goal in the 22nd minute. Maeve Steckley found the back of the net with a left-footed shot to notch her seventh goal of the season while Madisyn Bagby provided the assist.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Goalkeeper Amara Schaub (Redondo Beach, Calif.) finished with three saves for Emerson.
- Lili Hellerman posted a pair of saves between the pipes for the visitors.
- Emerson concluded the contest with six shots while WPI generated eight attempts on the night.
CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHUP SET:
With Thursday's results, seventh-seeded WPI will travel to top-seeded MIT November 9 for the NEWMAC championship contest.
