TERRE HAUTE, Ind.- Junior Yasmine Defne Dadikhi (Istanbul, Turkiye) of the Emerson College women's cross country team posted a 64th-place finish at the NCAA Cross Country Championships held at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terra Haute, Indiana Saturday.
In a field featuring nearly 300 runners, Defne Dadikhi traversed the 6-kilometer course in a personal-best time of 22:05.5 to break her own school record.
Faith Duncan from Wilmington College (Ohio) captured the individual crown with a mark of 20:16.5 while MIT claimed the team title.
This season, Defne Dadikhi collected all-conference honors with a 10th-place finish at the NEWMAC Championships before capturing all-region accolades with a ninth-place finish at the NCAA East Regional Championships.
