WELLESLEY, Mass.- The Emerson College women's volleyball team suffered a hard-fought 3-2 setback at Wellesley Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson captured a 1-0 lead in the match with a 25-19 win in the first set.
- The Lions posted a 25-23 victory in the second frame to extend their advantage to 2-0.
- Wellesley prevailed 25-19 in the third to cut the deficit to 2-1.
- The Blue triumphed 25-18 in the fourth set to force a fifth frame.
- In the decisive fifth game, Wellesley edged Emerson 15-13 to escape with a 3-2 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Parker Cummings (Rochester, N.Y.) paced the Lions with 16 kills while adding six digs.
- Amelia Combs (Eugene, Ore.) notched 14 kills and seven digs while Brooke Maynez (Las Cruces, N.M.) finished with 11 kills.
- Chloe Hokenson (McLean, Va.) registered 26 assists, 10 digs, and four blocks.
- Mia Rodriguez (Palmetto Bay, Fla.) tallied 13 assists and 11 digs.
- Caroline Davis (Orlando, Fla.) collected a team-high 21 digs while Lily Nguyen (West Hartford, Conn.) and Lauren Yoo (Redondo Beach, Calif.) both added 12 digs.
