The Lead: The Emerson Men's Volleyball team opened the 2024 season by defeating the Fisher Falcons in straight sets on Saturday afternoon. Chase Fagan led the Lions attack with 10 kills while Bayden Slavik tallied 19 assists for Emerson.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• The Emerson Lions Men's Volleyball team opened the 2024 season strong against the Fisher Falcons. Chase Fagan led the Lions attack with 10 kills while Luke Roehm tallied 7 kills and Jack Miessner notched 5 kills.
• Bayden Slavik tallied 19 assists while Bryson Beck notched another 13.
• The Falcons were unable to get much offensive momentum during the match. They were able to score the first point in each of the three sets but ultimately were not able to get much going after that.
• The Lions jumped out to big leads in all three sets and never looked back, holding the Falcons under 10 points in each set.
• The Lions cruised to victory with a three set sweep winning Set 1 by a score of 25-7, Set 2 by a score of 25-5, and closing out the match in Set 3 with a 25-9 victory.
