The Lead: The Emerson Men's Soccer team came up short on Saturday afternoon as they fell to WPI by a score of 1-0

Early on, Luke Savoie of WPI attempted a shot that was blocked, and Emerson's goalkeeper Beckett Hobbs made a crucial save after a strike from Anthony Coutts. WPI pressed forward, earning several corner kicks, and the pressure paid off when Eli Marden found the back of the net in the 21st minute, assisted by Matthew Biando.

The second half saw Emerson pushing hard to level the score. They created several scoring opportunities, with Theodore Bushara and Aidan Ferguson taking shots on goal, but Ryan Martin, WPI's goalkeeper, remained steadfast in his efforts.
