The Lead: The Emerson Women's Volleyball team hosted WPI and UMASS Dartmouth for a tri-match on Saturday afternoon. The Lion's attack was led by Parker Cummings who racked up 26 total kills on the afternoon. The Lions finished with a split on the day, defeating UMASS Dartmouth is straight sets and losing to conference rival, WPI in straight sets.

Set 1:
The Engineers of WPI set the tone early with a convincing victory in the first set, finishing 25-23. Catherine Reynolds (WPI) played a pivotal role with seven kills, and Lily Eldridge contributed five kills along with some stellar defensive work with 13 digs. Parker Cummings tried to lead the Lions with 15 kills, but the Engineers' solid blocking and defensive efforts secured their lead.
 
Set 2:
WPI continued to dominate in the second set, clinching it with a score of 25-17. Olivia Deckers emerged as a key figure with 11 kills, while Emerson struggled to find their rhythm. The Engineers' teamwork and precise serving gave them the upper hand in this set.
 
Set 3:
The third set proved to be a fierce battle with both teams refusing to back down. WPI managed to pull ahead, ultimately sealing the set and the match with a score of 28-26. Emily Hudson's four kills in this set were instrumental in securing the win. Despite Emerson's valiant efforts, they couldn't turn the tide in their favor.

Set 1:
The opening set of the match saw Emerson take control right from the start. They executed their attacks, with Parker Cummings leading the charge, notching 11 kills. The Mass.-Dartmouth defense struggled to contain Emerson's powerful offensive plays. Emerson secured the first set with a score of 25-11.
 
Set 2:
The second set brought a resurgence from Mass.-Dartmouth. Moni Kristjansdottir led her team's charge with 6 kills and 3 blocks, giving Emerson a tough fight. However, Emerson's defense, led by Caroline Davis with 15 digs, proved to be a formidable obstacle. Emerson ultimately secured the set at 25-22.
 
Set 3:
In the third and final set, Emerson maintained their dominance. Brooke Maynez contributed 10 kills, while Maya Hall and Isabella Cubba chipped in with crucial plays. Mass.-Dartmouth struggled to find their rhythm, with a negative hitting percentage for the set. Emerson clinched the victory with a decisive 25-8 win in the third set.
