The Lead: The Emerson women's soccer team was upended at the hands of St. John Fisher, 2-0, in their home opener on Saturday afternoon at Rotch Field in non-conference women's soccer action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
9": St. John Fisher gave themselves an early 1-0 edge just nine minutes into the start of the first half. Surrounded by defenders in the right side of the box, McMakin's shot bounced off the left post and into the lower left corner.

43": With two minutes left in the first frame, the visitors tacked on another goal to extend their lead to 2-0. Dauksza booted the Cardinals second goal into the upper left hand corner past the dive of Schaub.
