The Lead: The Emerson Women's Basketball team was led by 10 points from Junior Olivia Deslauriers but they were unable to hold off Babson in a NEWMAC battle on Wednesday night at Staake Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions were able to keep the score close throughout the first half, but the second 20 minutes is where Babson pulled away. The first quarter saw Junior Olivia Deslauriers, Sophomore Devin Hill, and Senior Carla Pelino lead the Lions offense with 4 points apiece in the first 10 minutes.
- Overall, the Lions only converted on 19 of 58 attempts from the field (32.8%) including only hitting 3 of 15 (20%) three pointers.
- Babson converted 37 of 73 (50.7%) of their field goal attempts while only converting on 4 of 12 (33.33%) three-point shots.
- The Beavers dominated the paint; outscoring the Lions by a total of 40 to 22 from close range. He Beavers also got 62 points off their bench to the Lions 16.
- Emerson was outscored by a score of 50 to 19 in the second half, which allowed Babson to pull away victory on Wednesday night.
