HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Ella Bushee led the Lions in the first half, dropping in 8 of her game-high 19 points as the Lions led by as many as 8 points in the first quarter. Despite only converting 7 of their 19 attempts from the field and going 0 for 4 from three-point range, the Lions were able to close out the first 10 minutes with an 18-10 lead over the Gulls.
  • The Gulls stormed back in the second quarter; outscoring the Lions 25-12 in the quarter. Taylor Bogdanski led the Gulls with 7 of her 14 points as the Gulls converted 10 of 18 attempts while the Lions offense struggled, only scoring 6 of their 19 attempts, including shooting 0 for 6 from three-point land. Headed into halftime, the Gulls had taken a 5-point lead with the score 35-30.
  • The Lions offense continued to struggle in the 3rd quarter as they only shot 21% from the field and only converted 1 of 6 attempts from beyond the arc. Heading into the final 10 minutes, the Lions found themselves in a 10-point deficit.
  • The teams battled back-and-forth in the final 10 minutes of action. Bri Frongillo led the charge for the Lions as she scored 12 points on 6 of 8 from the field. Despite outscoring the Gulls in fourth quarter, the 10-point lead Endicott has built to begin the fourth quarter proved to be a big enough cushion to hold off a late run by the Lions as the Gulls secured a 75-69 victory on Tuesday afternoon.
