The Lead: The Emerson Women's Volleyball team was led by Amelia Combs' game-high 14 kills while Rachel Dickerson notched 10 kills for the Lions offense. Maya Hall anchored the defense with 6 blocks as the Lions secured a 3-1victory over Smith College on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
Set 1:
Emerson started strong in the first set, with Amelia Combs leading the Lions attack. Rachel Dickerson contributed some crucial kills and helped the Lions secured a 25-22 victory.
Set 2:
Smith answered back in the second set, with Abby Sweeney leading the way for the Pioneers. The set was tied at 1-1 as Smith claimed a 25-15 win.
Set 3:
Emerson regained control in the third set, taking a commanding 2-1 lead in the match with a 25-11 win. The Lions converted 15 of their 26 attempts and only committed 2 errors.
Set 4:
The fourth set was a back-and-forth battle that saw the Pioneers try to push the set to a 5^th and deciding set but the Lions were able to pace the Pioneers at the end of the set and secure a 25-23 win and secure a 3-1 match victory.
